Deadline Nears to Register Vote for the

November 8th General Election

County Clerk Shane Schoeller today is reminding new residents to Greene County they have until Wednesday, October 12th, to register to be eligible for the November General Election on Tuesday, November 8th.

To register to vote or update your registration record in person you may do so at the County Clerk’s office in the Historic Courthouse at 940 North Boonville, Room 113 or at any of the local Springfield-Greene County Library branches throughout Greene County.

Mail-in registrations will also be accepted if they are postmarked by Wednesday, October 12th and can be found at: www.greenecountymo.gov/files/PDF/file.pdf?id=1615

When registering to vote, be sure to bring along an acceptable form of identification, such as a valid driver’s license, current utility bill or bank statement. These forms of acceptable identification can be found at: http://s1.sos.mo.gov/CMSImages/ElectionGoVoteMissouri/acceptable_ids.pdf

Under state and federal laws, registered voters are not disqualified for moving within a county, but Schoeller urges anyone who has moved or changed his/her name to contact his office as soon as possible to avoid unnecessary delays on the day of the Election.
